Adjektiva: Educational Languages and Literature Studies
Jurnal Adjektiva: Educational Languages and Literature Studies (2622-6022) well-known as Adjektiva is an forum for original research on linguistics, literature, eduaction an international forum for original research focused on identities as local contexts, like an identity in linguistics, identity in literature, and identity in language education in global and local contexts, especially in Indonesia. These may include but are not limited to various fields, such as we are interested in interdisciplinary studies examining how issues of linguistics, literature, and education in language influence individual and community identities. In order to publish in Adjektiva, a study must have an overview of previous research or theoretical concepts that are packaged to justify the novelty/uniqueness of this study and central focus on local, foreign, minority, heritage, or indigenous languages (or non-standard dialects) and their intersection with either identity and/or education in language, linguistics and literature. We welcome a variety of topics, theoretical orientations, and methodological approaches (both qualitative and quantitative). Studies that highlight the potential of Linguistics and Applied Linguistics (e.g. Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics, Anthropolinguistics, Ethnolinguistics, Stylistics, Dialectology, LHK, Psychopragmatics, etc.). Critical studies of Literature (e.g. Digitizing literature, new literary theories, applied literature). Identity in language and literature(e.g. Ethnic Identity, vocational identity, job identity, religious identity, moral identity, political identity, etc.). Research on innovations or on the effectiveness of various language education program models (e.g. Learning Curriculum, Learning Strategies, Learning Assessment, BIPA, International Language Coaching).

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk, fungsi, dan latar belakang terjadinya variasi bahasa di media sosial Twitter. data diperoleh dengan metode simak bebas libat cakap, teknik catat, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode agih dan metode padan. Hasil dari penelitian ini sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, yaitu 1) wujud variasi bahasa terdiri dari lima bentuk: kata, frase, klausa, kalimat, dan bentuk baru; 2) fungsi variasi bahasa: a) menarik perhatian mitra tutur; b) menjalin hubungan, c) berfungsi untuk memuji dan mengejek, d) menunjukkan perasaan dari penutur, e) sebagai alat untuk meminta mitra tutur melakukan seuatu, f) menujukkan rasa akrab, g) meringkas tuturan, h) menghaluskan tuturan, i) menambah kosakata, j) menunjukkan perbedaan bahasa yang digunakan pengguna Twitter, k) sebagai referen; dan 3) latar belakang terjadinya variasi bahasa disebabkan oleh dua faktor. Pertama, faktor internal berupa proses fonologi dan morfologi. Kedua, faktor eksternal berupa situasi tutur yang informal, perbedaan usia pengguna Twitter, perbedaan tujuan dalam bertutur, dan perbedaan tingkat pendidikan dan pekerjaan.]]>

<![CDATA[This study discusses the form of the mantra in the ritual speech of the Ngalap Spirit of the Tidung Tribe in Sebuku. Mantra is a word or speech that contains wisdom and supernatural powers. The power of the spell is thought to be able to heal or bring harm. This research is focused on analyzing the form of the mantra in the speech of the Ngalap Spirit Ritual of the Tidung tribe as one of the oral literatures that needs to be developed and preserved because it contains high literary values. The research was conducted with the aim of describing the form of the mantra and the ritual tradition of ngalap the spirit of the Tidung tribe in Sebuku. The method used in this research is a field research method with a qualitative approach that is described descriptively. Data collection techniques used in this study were interview techniques, note-taking techniques and recording techniques. The data analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the research obtained are (1) the form of the mantra: a. The form of the line in the first mantra consists of 5 lines, each line contains 2-6 words and consists of 3-10 syllables; b. The form of the first mantra stanza, that is, each stanza consists of 5 lines and contains 2-6 words; c. The choice of words used in the traditional mantra ngalap, the spirit of the Tidung tribe does not only use the Tidung language but also uses the Indonesian language. It's just that the Tidung language is more dominant in its use in the traditional speech of ngalap, the spirit of the Tidung tribe.]]>

<![CDATA[Novel is a work of fiction that tells the life of a character. Therefore, one of the important elements in the novel is the character. This study aims to describe the psychology of the main and additional characters in the SIN novel "God hates the sin, not the sinner" by Faradita. Literary psychology is a text analysis by considering the relevance and role of psychological studies. The psychological theory used is the theory of Behaviorism described by Skinner. This research is a type of qualitative research with descriptive method. The data source is in the form of dialogue and narration in the sin novel "god hates the sin, not the sinner". The research data are in the form of dialogues and narratives containing literary psychology. Data was collected using the read and note method. The novel's story begins with the meeting of Metta and Raga at an entertainment venue. Raga who saves Metta from his ex-lover's evil plan. Because of this meeting, Metta and Raga establish a relationship and there is a conflict between the two of them so that their relationship cannot be maintained. Based on data analysis, the research results obtained are the psychology of the main character, namely; 1) stimulus from the school environment, 2) family environment, and 3) friendship environment and 1) arrogant response, 2) not understanding other people's circumstances, and 3) difficulty regulating feelings. The two additional psychology characters are; 1) a stimulus from the family environment and 2) a friendly environment and 1) a response to feeling like a puppet of his father and 2) a sense of disapproval.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 40 Samarinda in the 2020/2021 academic year, aiming to describe the application of online learning of news text material through Live Instagram that has been carried out by researchers. Researchers conducted research on junior high school students because the current condition of using Instagram is not only used by adults. But, also among children and adolescents. This Instagram application has become much in demand by children and teenagers because it has unique features in making videos or photos and being able to see the latest news. By having unique features students or students choose Instgaram as the trendy application at this time. In this online learning, researchers use the Instagram application because it has interesting features that can provide new experiences for teaching and learning activities with students. One of the interesting features in the Instagram application used by researchers is Live Instagram. The formulation of the problem raised in this study is the implementation of learning through Instagram media, the obstacles that occur in online learning and the researchers' efforts to overcome the problems of online learning through Instagram media. To achieve these objectives, researchers used qualitative research. Data were collected using interview techniques, document studies and questionnaires. The results of the study show: 1) The implementation of online learning of news text materials through Instagram media, 2) the obstacles that occur in online learning of news text materials through Instagram media, 3) the efforts made to overcome the problems of online learning through Instagram media.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the strata (layers) of norms contained in the Elegi Sampah Garbage by Sri Setianingsih. The method used in this research is descriptive, while the approach used is a structural approach, namely an approach that trying to understand poetry from the elements inherent in poetry in the form of layers of norms in a poem poetry creation. Sources of data taken through the poetry anthology book Sajak Cermin by Sri Setianingsih entitled Elegi Sampah. The data analysis technique in this research is the content analysis. This technique tries to analyze documents to find out their contents and meanings contained in the document. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the result is to discuss the various strata (layers) of norms that contained in the poem Elegi Sampah by Sri Setianingsih. The strata (layers) of norms discussed These are the sound layer, the meaning layer, the object layer, the world layer and the metaphysical layer.]]>
